Overview
Psychology is one of the larger departments at The University of Tulsa. Its graduate programs have attracted several nationally prominent scholars to the teaching faculty. Undergraduate majors, therefore, have the best of both worlds: access to distinguished faculty at an institution that emphasizes undergraduate teaching and the individual student.
The national reputation of the psychology faculty is attested to by their presence on grant review panels and editorial boards, and their extensive publication and presentation records.
Faculty members earn top marks in the classroom on student evaluations, making them one of the highest rated departments on campus.

Staff Overview The Psychology Department is blessed with the services of two highly competent, dependable, and informed administrative personnel, Cindy Tissue, the Department Secretary, and Sandy Barney, Graduate Secretary. As anyone who meets them learns quickly, Cindy and Sandy are friendly, cheerful, and eager to help. Cindy manages a wide variety of departmental functions, including key requisitions, room availability, undergraduate information requests, and a host of tasks supporting the Psychology Faculty. Sandy handles the many administrative matters dealing directly with the clinical and IO graduate programs. Both Cindy and Sandy are highly valued departmental citizens and we are very fortunate and pleased to include them in our ranks. |
