Applications

Application  materials for admission and for fellowships and  assistantships are available from the TU Graduate School  or from the English office. Online applications are an  option through the TU website. (www.utulsa.edu/graduate)

Applicants to  the M.A. and Ph.D. programs in English  should make application on the official form provided by  the Graduate School and include a nonrefundable  processing fee of $30, provide three letters of  recommendation, send official transcripts of all college  and graduate work, and send scores for the general tests  of the Graduate Record Examination. (International  students must also send TOEFL scores and a letter of  financial support with their application.)   Applications and transcripts will be held  on file, and admission will be valid for one calendar  year.

Transfer  credit may be awarded by the graduate dean on the  recommendation of the graduate director in English.  Transfer credit is limited to six hours of graduate work  at the master's level and 12 hours of post-master's  degree work at the doctoral level. All transfer credit  must be from an accredited graduate school and must have  been completed within the last six-years.
