CLINIC SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships are available to clients who attend our clinic through two sources.  The Bernsen Fund and the Chapman Fund.  Scholarships are awarded by the clinic committee each semester.  All scholarships are awarded based on need of the client/family, the needs of our University of Tulsa students, and availability of funds that semester.  Scholarships are available for all speech-language and hearing services. Scholarships may be for the entire cost of services or the recipients may be asked to make a small co-payment based on income.

The Bernsen family has donated funds to provide therapy and evaluation services to children and adults who would not otherwise have the funds to obtain services.  Priority is given to children for these scholarships and the amount of money available varies each year based on interest income.

The Chapman family recently donated funds to the Department of Communication Disorders which included funds to support therapy and evaluation services in the clinic.  Money is available for adults and children.  It is specifically focused on helping those in the community close to the University of Tulsa, but is not limited to only those in this area.  Money has been made available through this fund to provide interpreters for all services in the clinic.
