TU prides itself in the high quality of its students and faculty and in the individualized education that students receive as a result. The Art History program at TU offers the unique opportunity for students to design a program of study that will allow them to further their knowledge in their particular area of interest. To learn more about the Art History program contact a member of the TU Art History Faculty. Also see the links to course offerings and major requirements below.
In addition to an individualized program of study TU offers students opportunities for internships at major museums in the area and study abroad at any institution of your choosing. TU also offers courses in museum studies and art administration, which provide practical knowledge that complements the offerings in art history.
The School of Art has an art history lecture and visiting artists program that exposes students to a broad spectrum of contemporary art practices. Two major museums in the Mid-West, the Gilcrease and the Philbrook, afford students an opportunity to study world-class art first-hand.
